Blogging with a brew in one hand and a book in another…

It’s Saturday morning, and I’m treating myself to one of my favorite Saturday morning activities…a book and some coffee at the nearby coffee house. I went all out this morning and got an Orange Cranberry Muffin (aka. Pure Goodness in my Mouth) to go with the typical Mocha. I’m reading a book right now (”Currently I’m Reading…”) that takes a very in depth look at the “science” of missions. What that basically means is that it looks at the theology, history, philosophy, and cross-cultural strategies of missions. I’m reading it for a seminary class I’m taking later this month in Atlanta.

Anywho, I’m curious to know what everyone did to celebrate the USA’s birthday yesterday. I ate a lot of great food, hung out with friends, and watched some fireworks from my roof (pretty nice view from up there). I learned two very valuable lessons last night:

  1. If your next-door neighbors are shooting fireworks in their backyard, it’s probably not a good idea to be on the roof
  2. Sitting in a lawn chair on the roof can get kind of tricky…

Alright, I’ve shared my 4th of July adventures…now I want to know about yours. What did you do for the 4th?
