Collegiate Week, Glorietta, New Mexico
This Friday, I am leaving Lubbock one last time before students start coming back for the fall semester. I will be spending the week in Glorietta, New Mexico at the annual conference for college students put on by LifeWay called Collegiate Week. I’ve got a pretty extensive list of why I’m so excited about going to Glorietta….here it is:
- I’ll be spending the week with Pearl Merchant…can it get any better than that?
- David Platt will be leading the evening sessions as well as leading us in “Secret Church” Tuesday night (D.P. is the pastor of The Church at Brook Hills)
- There will be somewhere around 1500 college students there!
- I love mountains
- I love cafeteria food….what? (It’s true)
- Michael Kelley will be leading the morning sessions (he’s a blogger by the way)
- Have you seen Glorietta?!?! (I’ll make sure I send you some pictures)
- Some magician guy is going to be there Thursday night
- They have trees there…big trees
- The Bobcat Bite
- My old college campus minister will be there
- I’m taking a good book to read…and remember, readers are leaders!
Those were listed in no particular order (some of you were wondering, I know).
There’s no real purpose for this blog post, other than making sure you all know how much MORE fun I’ll be having next week than you.

aww. say hi to all my OU friends.
um, i dunno, getting married could definitely compete with collegiate week.
but that list still made me jealous!
Man, if you go to Summit next spring, and Doc Nobel is speaking, you will have “readers are leaders” drilled into your brain.
